EMILY WILDES ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF FAERIES BY HEATHER FAWCETT
This is the perfect cosy fantasy that I am obsessed with it has everything that you could want from a fantasy book as it has faeries, romance and it is just so whimsical. I was completely wrapped up in the story and I think everyone should pick it up if they are looking for a fantasy that they can read by the fire or in the summer heat.
A DOWRY OF BLOOD BY S. T. GIBSON
This was a perfect story of Dracula’s bride and her story; she was such a strong and interesting lead character to read about. The media format of the book had me hooked as I truly felt like I was in her head as all the letters were addressed to Dracula, you could see her reasoning for doing what she does. If you love vampires, romance and strong main characters then it should be picked up.
WINTER’S ORBIT BY EVERINA MAXWELL
Sci-fi books have always been amazing to read especially when they are space operas. This is wonderful book set in such an interesting world where you have to marry someone that is chosen for you for diplomatic reasons. There is slow burn romance, political intrigue and mystery, it had me hooked from the start!
THE SHADOW OF THE GODS BY JOHN GWYNNE
I love when worlds are inspired by civilisations from our worlds and this Norse inspired world is one of the best that I have read. This book is filled with everything you could need from an epic fantasy novel dragons, swords and 3 characters who are responsible for shaping the world.
KAIKEYI BY VAISHNAVI PATEL
I am an avid fan of everything mythology, so I am obsessed with this book that is about Hindu mythology specifically the vilified queen from the Ramayana. This is a book that deals with forging a new path for yourself and I think everyone should read it even if you are not familiar with the story.
